Kreisberg also advises private equity sponsors on all aspects of acquiring and divesting assets.
Mara Topping’s practice specializes in representing clients in domestic and international private investment funds. She has extensive experience working with closed-end private equity, infrastructure, mezzanine, credit, venture capital, co-investment funds, and open-ended hedge funds, as well as permanent capital vehicles. Topping not only assists sponsors with fund formations but also advises them on their internal economic and governance arrangements. She also represents fund investors, including sovereign wealth funds, university endowments, family offices, and other institutional investors.
Kate McCullough’s practice primarily focuses on domestic and international investment funds and asset management. She specializes in advising asset managers on their fund formations, including private equity funds, impact funds, single-asset funds, and permanent capital vehicles. Additionally, McCullough helps establish internal “house” platforms for asset managers. She also provides legal counsel to fund investors, including development finance institutions, sovereign wealth funds, and seed capital providers to private equity platforms.
DLA Piper’s addition of Andrew, Mara, and Kate reflects the firm’s strength in private markets. Their presence and combined experience will be a significant asset to clients as the firm continues to guide an extensive array of leading market participants. David Parrish, global co-head of the firm’s Investment Management and Funds Practice, expressed his excitement and enthusiasm about their arrival.
