An anonymous crypto investor, known as “Shibtoshi,” has recently revealed in an interview with Youtuber Bad Anthony how he became a billionaire with Shiba Inu (SHIB) back in 2021. Shiba Inu is a cryptocurrency that gained popularity as a potential rival to Dogecoin.
According to Shibtoshi, he first became interested in Shiba Inu during the early days of the token in August 2020. At that time, he invested $8,000 in SHIB after his friends recommended it to him. Shiba Inu caught his attention as a potential competitor to Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency he had never invested in before.
Shibtoshi has been an active crypto investor since 2011 and has made substantial profits from the crypto market in the past. However, his investment in Shiba Inu proved to be the most profitable by far. Despite facing challenges, including a compromised Telegram group related to Shiba Inu, the investor remained faithful to his investment.
After holding onto his investment for almost a year, Shibtoshi’s $8,000 investment reached an astonishing $5.7 billion in October 2021. This represents an impressive increase of 71,249,900%.
Since reaching the $5 billion mark, Shibtoshi has moved out the majority of his Shiba Inu tokens. He initially moved out $2.9 billion from the original wallet to another wallet and then distributed the coins to various wallets.
Currently, the original wallet holds around $1.44 million in SHIB, while the investor scattered the remaining tokens in batches of 500 billion to other wallets.
