AXA extends employee support worldwide with wellbeing program

AXA, the global insurance company, has announced its new “We Care” program, designed to provide support to its employees at various stages of life and important moments. The program aims to give AXA’s 110,000 employees the resources, time, and assistance they need to confidently navigate personal and professional decisions. This initiative is part of AXA’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.

The “We Care” program will be accessible to all AXA employees in 51 countries and will be fully implemented in all AXA entities by the end of 2024. The program is based on four key pillars:

1. Caregiver Policy: AXA has introduced a new policy that offers up to five fully paid leave days to employees caring for immediate family members who require eldercare or are dealing with a serious health condition or disability.

2. Domestic and Sexual Violence Policy: In cases where employees are affected by domestic, intra-familial, or sexual violence, AXA will provide psychological support, specialist services, flexible work arrangements, and five days of fully paid leave.

3. Parental Policy: Building on the existing 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave for the primary parent, the “We Care” program extends co-parent leave from four to eight weeks. It also offers additional leave and flexible work arrangements for employees undergoing in-vitro fertilization or dealing with pregnancy loss.

4. Healthy You Program: AXA’s existing Healthy You program, which was launched in 2020, will now include support for employees experiencing menstrual health conditions, menopause, or andropause, ensuring a supportive workspace for all employees.

AXA CEO Thomas Buberl highlighted the company’s commitment to creating a diverse, flexible, and inclusive working environment. He emphasized the importance of providing employees with access to health benefits tailored to their specific needs. Buberl also stressed the company’s dedication to supporting employees in caring for their loved ones, particularly in today’s society, where new uncertainties and challenges are emerging.

The “We Care” program aligns with AXA’s strategic plan for 2024-2026 and reflects the company’s brand campaign of embracing the future rather than seeing it as a risk. It demonstrates AXA’s commitment to the overall well-being of its employees and its desire to be there for them in important moments.

In conclusion, AXA’s “We Care” program is a significant step forward in employee support and well-being. By offering comprehensive policies and support for various life stages and challenges, AXA is ensuring that its employees feel valued, supported, and empowered in both their personal and professional lives.
